WE DEPEND ON VOLUNTEERS LIKE YOU...
Volunteers constitute 96 percent of our total work force to carry on our humanitarian work.  The American Red Cross helps people in emergencies every day.
Our vital work is made possible by people like you, who learn how good it can feel to lend a helping hand, like the Lena United Methodist Church women,

who made quilts and brought them to the Red Cross in November,
or long-time Northwest Illinois Chapter Red Cross volunteer Trudy Alderman, below left, who brings her friend Jane Conter -- soon to be an official Red Cross volunteer -- to the chapter to clean manikins for the Health & Safety Department

or Paul Ottenhausen, our volunteer computer wizard and classroom instuctor, shown teaching a class,

or one of the many who stepped up during the recent hurricane season to help out of the goodness of their heart (see video below).

Fill out the form below and we will contact you as soon as possible to get you started. Click Send only once - even though it looks like it hasn't gone, it has. Thank you!
